FOIAWEAR / ARCHIVE SERIES 034 — RS-6 AGENT RADIO SET

A complete agent radio set, packed and cached for a war that never went hot. The set was hidden in Western Europe in 1961 — and was not recovered until 1990. It sat there for twenty-nine years, waiting.

Had its use been necessary, the operator would have brought it to life in the most austere way imaginable: by adding water to electrolytic powder and pouring the solution into the battery. No mains power, no charger, no traceable supply chain. Just water.

The set comprised a sending unit (12.8 × 5 × 17.2 cm), a receiving unit (12.6 × 5.9 × 17.1 cm), an amplifier (10.2 × 5.2 × 20.5 cm), a power transformer (10.1 × 5.5 × 20.5 cm) and an MGF battery (15.4 × 11.6 × 25 cm), along with clamps and an inventory card (12.5 × 7.5 cm) that listed the name and quantity of every element in the set.

The artwork is a stylised multi-colour illustration of the set laid out as it would be for inventory — the units, the battery, the headphones, the Morse key and the antenna wire. It is not a photograph, technical drawing or blueprint.

Offered in twelve garment colours: the artwork carries light typography on dark garments (Black, Navy, Graphite, Pepper, Espresso, Sapphire) and dark typography on light garments (Moss, Chambray, Mustard, Butter, Light Green, White).

Garment: Comfort Colors 1717 garment-dyed t-shirt. Heavyweight 6.1 oz/yd² (206.8 g/m²), 100% ring-spun US cotton, pre-shrunk, relaxed fit, double-needle stitched with no side seams and a sewn-in label. Sizes S–4XL. Printed on the front at 300 DPI; plain back. The main artwork prints at 10 × 10 in and the QR at 1.8 × 1.8 in.

Care: machine wash cold, inside out, with like colours. Tumble dry low. Do not iron directly on the printed area.
